Part of the gold system being the way it is is to make sure that it’s very difficult to have “enough gold for everything.” If you were oozing gold out of every pore, then the game would be pretty trivial in most ways. You wouldn’t have to work for your mounts or training, respec costs would mean nothing, and you could get all the BOE epics in the world that you wanted– with very little personal investment.

That said, the best way to get gold is to get two gathering professions. I recommend Skinning and Mining or Skinning and Herbalism. Herbalism may be a bigger draw at the moment, because there will be a large influx of new Inscriptionists very soon, who will all be relying on herbs for their profession. You should choose skinning for one skill, because you will not need to track nodes on your minimap. However, both Mining and Herbalism require you to track nodes, and you can only track one at a time.

Forget about production professions, sell all that you gather at the Auction House. Sell all Bind-on-Equip items at the Auction House as well. If you can, team up with an enchanter so that you can get the BOEs that don’t sell well disenchanted. Then, sell the enchanting materials.

Do not be tempted by the flashy gear that is available at the Auction House, unless one of those items is your particular goal for what you want to do with your money.

Keep doing your daily quests once you hit level 70, and you will be in good hands.
